When it come to your wedding day and your decision to what suit you will actually wear, this does not have to be a decision that you need to take too seriously or fear. If it is your wedding day then as long as the wedding suit that you choose to get married in is elegant and a suit that fits you well as well as being comfortable. A black or navy blue suit would allow you to play safe if your not……

if you are a guest at the wedding then always read the invitation and double check what the dress code is! if the dress code on the invite states ‘Formal’ then expect a formal weddings and dress in your preferred formal dress ware.
Typically we have 3 types of wedding dress ware:

  • we have the very formal dress code which is suit and tails with a white tie.
  • The more traditional and formal dress code which is black tuxedos, the darker suits and cuff links.
  • This one is the more eccentric of all dress code wearing more of a seventies or eighties type suit with flowery type of shirt.

Basically a lot of people will have the dress ware organised based around the type of location that the venue is held at. So if your getting married on the beach then very formal traditional dress wear will seem rather extreme and the more casual flowery style may be more appropriate. As long as the groom stands out as the man of the hour then all is fine.

you must also take into account the heat and humidity at the wedding venue itself when choosing the materials for your ‘wedding suits‘. If the climate is cooler then it may be more prudent to wear a woolen suit with maybe a jumper and tie underneath whereas in a more humid and hotter climate you may want to look for more of a linen type of suit to wear to reduce any sweating during the main event.

Men’s Wedding Suits – Decision Time

It’s time face up to it and ditch those hang ups about clothes shopping and sort out your wedding suit. For most men clothes shopping can get in the way of the match or the pub, but this is one chore you shouldn’t put off until the last minute. On such a special day you want to stand out and look the best you can, especially with so many peoples attention focused on you and your bride to be. If you choose wisely, you may actually find yourself looking at someone with a huge grin on their face when you stand in front of the bedroom mirror trying on the suit for the first time looking flash, cool and debonair in a brand new and custom tailored men’s wedding suit.

Mens Wedding Suits

Wedding suits come in all shapes and sizes and also in all wallet sizes. You can buy on a budget and also splash out on high end designer labels. As is the case for many products you pay for better quality and even more for individually tailoring and bespoke items. Once you have worked out your budget, decide if you want to keep the suit for any future posh engagements that will come up in the future. If you want to save money and don’t think you want to keep a suit in the wardrobe you could also contemplate hiring a wedding suit.

Either way you should investigate all your options and weigh up the pros and cons when deciding to hire or to buy from the vast array of suits available. If you chose the purchase path, you can be more selective and get a suit that fits one hundred percent as you can get it tailored to fit you perfectly. A reputable tailor will measure you up for a good comfortable fit and also be able to help with choosing style and colour.

The other option is to hire a suit. You still need to budget for this and decide on how much to spend as the price will depend on the quality and brand of suit on offer. With hiring and buying you can often get discounts if you order more than one suit at once. Great if you want to have a certain style or colour for the main male attendants like the best man, father of the bride and page boy. There’s a good selection of Men’s Wedding Suits to hire at Formally Yours.

If you decide to colour co-ordinate and give an overall style or look to all the men’s wedding suits, especially those in the family and close up wedding photos, you need to tie in with everyone and get the ball rolling even earlier. Having a styled jacket trim that matches everyone else, adds that special little touch that people will remember and comment on, but could need some bespoke tailoring that takes longer to finish than something straight off the peg. Making that extra effort will pay big dividends on the day though and you’ll make a big splash with such a sharp wedding posse.
